Kroger people

One of the guys I worked with at Kroger over the summer was in town this weekend (he's from Albany but goes to Miami University ... you'd probably really like him, Paul, you Redhawk, you.) and wanted to hang out because he didn't have anything else to do. I told him I was pretty free until Sunday morning, when I was going to be playing piano at church. He mentioned something about not having been to a church since he was 11 (he's now 22), so I invited him and HE CAME. Yesssssssss. He was pretty uncomfortable at first, but after he realized that a couple hundred college kids were pouring through the doors, he relaxed a little. He said it was nothing like he expected and he would definitely come again if I invited him. Rock. Hard. I'm not sure where he stands with his faith but at least he showed up. That's something.

Another Kroger person that likes Central. Suh-weet.

Speaking of Kroger people, Rob had his hernia surgery on Wednesday and I called him last night to see how he is doing, and he's back in Athens and actually on his feet without much pain. He said he can finally start coming back to church and having normal life activities now that he can sneeze without practically fainting from the pain.

I like bringing people to church and then seeing their reactions afterwards ... they're always mostly "Wow ... that was nothing like I expected it would be. Your church is really cool."

Indeed.
